My 1967 RS SS Pro Touring Camaro was completely redone with the best of everything. Literally part has been professionally replaced, or upgraded on the car including all sheet metal, glass, chrome, interior, gauges, one piece floor pan, quarters, door skins, fender, hood, etc. The paint is Intense Blue Pearl and is about 6 years old. As with the rest of the car it is in excellent driver shape. This is not a trailer queen show car, but a daily driver. This Camaro is equipped with a Bill Mitchell Merlin 540 crate engine that dyno'd at 680 HP and 770 FT LB of torque on pump gas! The engine is equipped with forged pistons, I beam rods, stud girdles, alum roller tipped rockers with a 1.6 ratio,  and a  Scat Forged crank. It also has a 7 quart Milodon pan with high output pump, billet pulleys, Moroso aluminum hi volume water pump, 950CFM HP Holley Double Pumper with a fuel pres regulator and gauge under the hood for ease of adjustment. Fuel is supplied through a new tank with back sump pickup, large BG filter and -10 lines. It's aspirated through a K&N full flow filter that draws through the real steel cowl induction hood. This assures cool air while providing more horsepower.

The engine is cooled with a custom Be-Cool extra large radiator fabricated by famous racecar builder Gene Ludlow. He also did all the various tin work; core support; valve cover modifications to allow for the 140 amp chrome alternator and windshield wiper motor; radiator shrouding with a 4 in. collar that closely wraps the 6 bladed alum flex fan so that all the air is drawn through the core of the radiator. There is also a supplemental 19 in. electric pusher fan out front. Gene also modified the ceramic coated hooker super competition headers to fit the car as well as providing the fittings for the exhaust evacuation system in the collectors and valve covers to create a negative pressure on the top half of the motor to better seat the rings, again providing better efficiency and that ever important free horsepower. Motor primary and secondary ignition are all the best MSD 6 Plus Digital components. 8mm super comp wires and a Blaster coil. All that torque is held in place with solid motor mounts and transferred through a Mad Dog built Turbo 400 with a 32 element sprag internals, and an extra deep pan. The torque converter is a custom-build 3500 stall. Larger U joints and balanced driveshaft pass the power to a bullet proof Moser Nodular Iron center section with a Wavetrac posi with 3.55 gears then on through Moser 31 spline axles resting in a big tube Ford 9 in. housing with back brace, and adjustable pinion snubber. Wheel hop was eliminated (not reduced) with the Slide-a-link slapper bar system. All the conspicuous undercar modifications were blacked out to retain the original appearance. The remainder of the exhaust system is a 3 in. mandrel bent aluminized system with an H tube to equalize back pressure and utilizes the stock configuration. Hooker Premier Aerochamber mufflers were opted for as they have the best flow characteristics, period.

Suspension-wise the car was lowered and sits on 17 in. Cragar Mags clad in Z rated  tires. Global west provided the tubular upper and lower control arms, sway bars were custom, and of course gas shocks. The 4 wheel power disc brakes are by wildwood and CCP with the mandatory proportioning valve to balance things out. Sub-frame connectors were welded not bolted in to stiffen up the body and to help with handling and power transfer. The RS hideaway headlights work flawlessly as everything was replaced including motors, limit switches, etc … ditto on the power top which is also in good shape. The interior was recently redone, replaced all of the carpets and painted under the hood, and detailed the car including polishing the alum under the hood. There is a deluxe parchment interior with the factory center console and gauges. The clock stopped working some time ago. I believe the rest of the gauges worked before we switched over to the auto meter ultra lites. The B&M Quick Silver shifter has the line-lock wired into the trigger. The Instrument cluster was professionally replaced with a complete Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultra-Lite series gauges with molded carbon fiber insert. It also has aTranny temp is on the pillar. Ididit provided the tilt column and a Grant Rosewood steering wheel completed the project.
