About my Impala
Finished a frame on restoration in early 2012. Slightly restomodded with two tone custom paint. Motor and tranny was changed from a 250 horsepower 327 and powerglide to a built 388 stroker sbc motor and a built turbo 350 tranny. It has long tube Hooker super comp headers going back into a mandrel bent stainless 2.5" Pypes x-pipe exhaust system with 40 series stainless Flowmaster mufflers. Car has also been upgraded to front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors and 2" drop spindles. Car is also riding on 22" Martin Bros. wheels with 265/35/22 tires in front and 265/40/22 tires in back. The 65 Impala came with a 12 bolt rear, but now has 456 gears and a posi unit installed in it. It also has a 2" fiberglass cowl induction hood. Brand new led taillights out back and new 50% brighter xenon headlights up front. The paint is a custom mix silver on the bottom and House of Kolor passion pearl on top.
