This car was purchased at a party in 1989 for $300. This is the cars second restoration. For the first 5 years it was my daily driver. Then I got in a wreck with a friend of mine and I fixed it but soon after the head gasket went and I no longer had the time to work on it. I sold it to a friend of mine who I told if you ever sell it, I get first dibs to buy it back. Well 15 years I got it back....in pieces....It took me 2 years to put it back together again. Then the engine started nocking and it had to sit some more. It was carburated at the time and really want EFI. So looked an looked and finally found an LT1 at a resonable price..$500 complete with accessories, harness, and computer. Took me a couple monthes of reading and figuring it all out and now she runs like a raped ape. I am going to have it repainted soon and would like to put it in some shows. Just so show that an average joe with a limited budget can make a great car!!!!

I love the modifications you've done.  JD79Nova was right, very few vendors cator to the 4th gen Novas so we have to do what we can.  I'm trying to keep my 79 looking stock with a few subtle mods.  I've been lucky enough to find what I need on Ebay and in swap meets without getting screwed.  Anyway, love the work and the attention to detail!

I gotta give you props on those tail lights. I have a 1979 Nova in my garage right now and my plastic lens housings are shot! I was thinking about going this same route on mine.

Why not fill it in with some sheet metal and install some new LED lamps? The late 70s Novas are not really considered collectable so places like Year One really don't make restoration parts for them. You gotta chop it up and customize it as you go!
