My ride is a slick 1976 Datsun 280Z. Japanese. There I said it. BUT the saving grace for this import is the new drivetrain transplant that has just been finished. I took the LS1/T56 from a 2000 WS6 and made it work.
With the motor we added the LS6 intake, a 224/224 .567" 114+4 camshaft and the needed valvetrain upgrades. We then bolted on Sanderson block hugger 1 3/4" primary headers and a custom dual 2.5" to 3" exhuast, all mandrel, all stainless!
The car sits lowered just around an inch from stock with an upgraded front sway bar and KYB struts. We have a nice set of 16x8" rims with 245/45 out back and 225/50 up front for traction.
The fuel system is a tad overkill for now but better to have it and not need it then need and it not be there. Aeromotive A1000 pump pushes through all braided stainless hoses to a rebuildable Aeromotive filter to the fuel pressure regulator up front. They say it'll feed up to 1000rwhp N/A. More than enough for a little toy car.
