I wanted to do this dream car since I was 17 years old. When I was 49 in 1999 I found this 56 Chevy Belair In Alabama. I've done many upgrades to her with help from friends and car club members. She has a 350 .020 over SBC mated to a reworked Turbo 350 trans and 3:55 posi rear gear. I kept her original as possible but did many of the early style upgrades from the 60's and 70's. Crager wheels, gauge trio under the dash, smaller steering wheel and Stull polished aluminum grill for that tubular look. Then finished upgrading to more modern items like Wilwood front disc brake conversion, March serpentine belt system, power rack and pinion, Hooker full length headers, Borla 2 1/2" hot rod exhaust kit. This is my summer road cruiser that appeals to a wide age group of people.
