my ride is a 1987 monte carlo ss that i bought for myself as a graduation gift.i dont think theres very many parts that i havnt had to replace.it all started with the motor then the rear end and finally the transmission.3 1/2 years later it has a fuel injected(painless tpi wiring kit)327 bored 60 over with about 10:1 compression.i just installed a 700r4 transmission freshly rebuilt with corvette servos and a b&m shift kit,B&M mega shifter,it has a 373 posi rearend,bbk 58mm throttle body,bbk adj. fuel press. regulator,high flow electric fuel pump,weld pro star wheels.4" cowl induction hood,long tube hedman headers,30lb injectors,cold air intake with a k&n filter,ported upper and lower intake,2 1/2" dual exhaust with flowmaster super 40 mufflers. I have done all the work myself.while doing so i realized that if i had to wait for someone else it would have never gotten done.needless to say i learned a lot from building this car.the hardest part about it was wiring it for tpi since it started as a carberated car.
